Notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Ellerslie Borough Council, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933," "Loans Conversion Order, J 934." " The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926," and in pursuance of all or any other Act or Amendment thereto enabling, at a Special Meeting of the Borough Council to be held on TUESDAY, the 14th day of July, in the Council Room, Municipal Chambers, Ellerslie, at 7 p.m., to make and levy the following Rates:— 1. A General Rate of Fivepence (sd) in the £. § 2. A Special Rate of Sixpence fGd) fn the £, to provide interest and sinking fund payments on loans totalling £83,700. 3. A Special Rate of Twopence (2d) in the £', to provide the levy made by the Auckland Hospital and Charitable Aid Board. Water extraordinary supply by meter to be charged at the rate of 1/6 per HHiO gallons, with a minimum charge of £l/10'per annum, all water used in excess of 20,000 gallons to he paid for at the rate of 1/6 per 1000 gallons, in addition to the minimum charge. The foregoing Rates shall be payable ill one sum on July 21. 1942, to the undersigned, or to such person as may from time to time be appointed to collect the same at the Council Office, Birkenhead. The Estimates upon which the abovementioned rates have been struck, having been approved by the Council, are together, with the Valuation Roll, open for inspection at the Town Clerk's Office. Birkenhead, during office hours, where the rate book may also be inspected without fee by all ratepayers after Jnly 21, 1942.
