EXTENSION TO SAMOA The extension to Western Samoa of general war regulations similar to those in New Zealand is provided for by the gazetting of the Samoa Emergency Regulations, 1942, which empower the Administrator to make orders necessary :or securing public safety, defence, public order and maintenance of supplies and services. Special mention is nade of the detention of persons in the nterests of public safety; requiring persons to place themselves and their jroperty at the disposal of the Adminstration; authorising the searching of premises and the restriction of the novements of people, including a ;urfew.
