DOUBLING-UP IN TAXIS
The chief effect of the doubling-up of passengers in taxis has been to improve slightly the service to the public, according to statements by Wellington taxi-drivers. They say that since the regulations were gazetted few persons have insisted on riding alone to their destination if there are others who want to go in the same direction.
