PROSPECTS FOR SEASON Mr. F. H. Baker was re-elected chairman of the control board of the Auckland Football Association last evening. Mr. Baker said that, although the season ahead would be a difficult one, already there were signs among the clubs that football of a high standard would be played at Blandford Park. Mr. H G-ribble was appointed vice-chairman and Mr. W. H Harrison secretary-treasurer. It was agreed to stage a preliminary round of games on Saturday week, in an endeavour to assist clubs to find their personnel.
