AUTHOR'S DEATH
WRITER OF MANY BOOKS MONTREAL, Feb. 18 The death is announced of the author Frank Lucius Packard at the age of 65. Frank Packard engaged in engineering work for a number of years and he began at the age of 29 to write for various magazines. It was in 1911 that he completed his first book, "On the Iron at Big Cloud." and this was followed bv many others. best known of these being "Greater Love Hath No Man," ''The Miracle Man," "The Beloved Traitor," "The Adventures of Jimmie Dale," "The Sin That Was His," "The Devil's Mantle," "Shanghai Jim," and his last book, "Tiger Clavrs."
