LIGHTING RESTRICTIONS
BREACHES AT WHANGAREI (0.c.) WHANGAREI,. Monday The owners or occupien; •of four premises in the business area of Whangarei appeared before Mr. Baymond Ferner, S.M., this morning, for breaches of the lighting restriction emergency regulations during the trial blackout on January 21. Thomas Alexander Grant, manager of the Plaza Theatre', was fined £1 and costi, and Joseph Bakalich, billiard saloon proprietor, Edna K. Harrison, confectioner, and the North Auckland Farmers' Co-operative Company, Limited, were each fined £2 and costs.
