SUICIDE ATTEMPT FAILS [by telegraph—press association] DUNEDIN, Monday Three charges of-theft, two of forgery and one of attempted suicide were preferred in the Police Court against Albert, Garnet Anderson, company manager, and secretary of the Otago Finance Agency Company. The evidence showed that accused left a letter for his directors admitting the misappropriations and the forgeries. Accused was found unconscious in a car at Maori Hill with the engine running and hosing attached to the exhaust. Interviewed on his recovery, he said the amount involved was £ll6. Anderson pleaded guilty and was committed for sentence.
