ARREST AFTER A YEAR
STOLEN BICYCLE RECOVERED (0.C.) DUNEDIN, Monday A bicycle recovered almost a year after it was stolen from the Port Chalmers railway station was the subject of a charge of theft admitted by Cyril Taylor, a plumber, married, aged 27, before Mr. H. W. Bundle, S.M. He was arrested on a charge of stealing a bicycle owned by David Ritchie on February 10, 1941. Detective-Sergeant J. Gibson said that the complainant was a railway employee, who reported the theft of his bicycle nearly a year ago. While examining bicycles at North Dunedin on Wednesday, a constable discovered the stolen machine, which accused was seen to remove and attempt to ride away. Accused was remanded in custody.
