FINAL AT ROTORUA COOMBES DEFEATS CHOAT (0.C.) ROTORUA, Sunday The final of the Kotorua Bowling Club's rinks tournament was won by A. Seccombe, R. Crowley, J. S Anchor and R. Coombes (Hamilton) who defeated E. J. Watkins, J. Sing, F. Woodall and W. F. Choat (Whitiora) by 20 points to 14. The weather yesterday was fine and the green in splendid order. The Hamilton team started well, having 12 points on the board before Whitiora opened its account. This was on the seventh heac when Whitiora scored two. Another couple wenl 10 Whitiora on the 10th head, when the score was 15 —4 in favour of Hamilton. Further leeway was made up by Choat and the margin was 17 —12 at the conclusion of the tGth head. Whitiora added singles on the two following heads, but that was its last success the game ending on the 20th

PLAY IN THE COUNTRY Hamilton.—The final of the Hamilton Bowling Club's Anniversary Day tournament was won by F. Hunt, J Boyes, J. Qualtrough. D Martin (Hamilton), who beat C. Henry L. Coombes. Thorpe, J Paterson (Claude lands) Buckland.—A full-rink open tournament held by the Buckland Club on Saturday at tracted teams from three other clubs, Patuina hoe, Pukekohe and Tuakau Play was in one section. A Pukekohe rink, Johnston, Proude Cooper and Sumner, was successful with five wins
