OUTSTANDING LEADER
GENERAL FREYBERG SPEED IN MODERN WAR , LONDON, Dec.-# The New Zealand commander, Major- ' General B. C. Freyberg, V.C., has been praised by a British general. "The most : important factor in modern war is speed," he said. "Rommel has switched his columns around with remarkable speed, but he has a good match in General Freyberg, who is one* of the quickest leaders in modern warfare."' Speaking of the New Zealand and South African forces in the Libyan campaign the general said: "They have received hard knocks, but they have been fighting magnificently."
