GIFT AFTERNOON
The Ponsonby branch of the Patriotic Committee women's activities sub-com-mittee held a soldiers' gift afternoon in Leys' Institute yesterday afternoon. The president, Mrs. S. 0. English, presided. Items were given by Mrs. H. Mclennan, Mrs. Adams, Miss White, Miss E. Brown, Miss P. Renner and Canon W. W. Averill. The accompanists were Mrs. Pawson and Mrs. Reginald Reed.
