MORE RADIO LICENCES
An increase of 15,502 in the number of all classes of radio licences taken out in New Zealand up to September 30, 1911. compared with the number in force at the same time last year, is shown in returns prepared hv the Post and Telegraph Department. Of the grand total, Wellington has 131.4-19 receiving sets, Auckland 119,932. Canterbury 65,751, and Otago 18,561. When radio broadcasting was taken over by the State in 1932, only 71.686 people owned licensed sets. During the past year the number of radio dealers lias dropped from 1060 to 989.
