TE RAPA EXERCISES ACQUEST IN GOOD FETTLE (0.C.1 HAMILTON, Saturday Many of the horses laken to the track at Te Rapa this morning were assigned a sprint down the .straight, the No. | grass being very heavy. At the end of six furlongs, Aci|iiesl shaded Marinolo and Eastern Heir, •,\ilii llazaboy some lengths away, in 1.21. This was the best sprint of the morning and an excellent trial under the conditions. Orient Dawn beat Gay Streak over the same ground in 1.28 The improving Chary and Irish Pearl completed five furlongs in 1.7 2-5. Sweet Nothing beat G.lenbevaii in 1.7 4-5. Foxmint strode an easy five in 1.11. Laughing Fox recurred 1.15 in a similar task. Hunting Vale ran the last three furlongs of her work in 12 2-ss, Royal Melody running home from the half-mile in 555. Over a round. Brandon Hal! and Kinearole recorded '2.11 This time was equalled by Glen Council and Erndale. Glen Con noil is lo race in the Burners' Hurdles at Cambridge. Horses sprinted down the straight included Royal Mascot and Tea Drop, who hit out well. Panoni. Vaalsmoss, Marble Fox, Sunola, Flying Cross, Acremati and Gay Rosette. Over Die brush double, Game Pit (Curran) jumped boldly in company with Sir Waimai. Fat Bov (Mr. R! Collett) also jumped the brush double, hut in slovenly fashion. Town Survey (Ha-in) was taken over the pony Jumps and acquitted himself well.
