HOLIDAY TOURNEY TITIRANGI CUP EVENT COMPLETION OF TWO ROUNDS An open three-day tourney was commenced at Titirangi on Saturday. A medal competition was played in conjunction with the qualifying round of the Titirangi Cup, the best scores being:—C. P. Worley, 86, 12 —74; A. X. Young, 7S, 3—75; B. T. Laycock, 76, scr— 70; R. G. North Shore. —A patriotic tournament was arranged on Saturday at North Shore, and a Canadian mixed foursome competition was won by J. W. Murray and Mrs. Cockayne with 56. Waitemata.—The winner of a medal competition was W. Townshend, 79, 12—67, Other cards were: F. H. Ardley, 87, 19 —68; W. H. Lee, 79. 9—70; R. Clark, 83, 10—73. Pupuke.—An open tournament was held at Pupuke on Saturday. The 18-hole medal resulted in a tie between E. A. Carson, 83, 12—71, and C. H. Palmer, 75. 4—71. The latter won on the count back. The best gross card was returned by C. H. Palmer. The 18-hole medal competition for ladies was won by Mrs, P. Andrew, 81, 6 —75. A four-ball bogey was won by D. Lamb and R. S. Holloway, 2 and 1, in the final of the flight match. The North Shore Vase was won by Mrs. E. Thomas, who beat Mrs. J. W.' Morrison in the final, 5 and 4. PUPUKE BEATS WAITEMATA An inter-club contest between the Pupuke and Waitemata golf clubs yesterday was won by Pupuke by 9 games to <». The results in detail are as follows, Waitemata names taking precedence:— Morning Round.—J. Percival and D. Corbett lost to H. A. Randrup and T. E. Gooding, 4 down; A. MacGregor and J. Ogden lost to C. 11. Palmer and J. Drought. 2 and 1; W. Morrice and H. Sinclair lost to R. S. King and D. S. Lamb, 2 and 1; S. Horsley and B. McGee lost to G. M. Truscott and W.* E. King. 3 and 2; R. Clark and W. Hi Lee beat C. Taggs and L- H. Saunders, 1 up. Roach. 4 down, Rotcrua Ladies.—ln the final of the Drysdale Cup, Mrs. Monk (22) beat- Miss Isdale (19), !! and 1. Both played well, with Mrs. Monk holding a slight advantage from the second hole, reaching the turn with 2 up. Mrs. Monk was dormie two at the 16th and the 17th was halved in three, giving her the match.
