RUSSIAN BOMBING

GERMAN LANDING-GROUNDS LONDON, Oct. 23 The Russian Air Force is now concentrating its attention on the waterlogged aerodromes and temporary land-ing-fields being used by the Germans, states the British Broadcasting Corporation's observer, Mr. Richard Dimbleby. in a despatch from Ankara this morning. On these aerodromes large numbers of German aeroplanes have crashed in landing, and many others have been unable to take off in time when the landing-grounds havp been attacked by Russian machines. There has been a drop in the intensity of the German air offensive, and a decrease in the number of heavy bombers used. Russian aeroplanes steadily patrol without interference, while many towns and cities hustle with new activity as they take up the work of the western centres now overrun by the enemy. The position on the battlefronts is admittedly critical, but deep within Russia activity has been quickened and confidence is maintained.
