PUREWA CREEK BASIN
HOUSING AND DRAINAGE In view of the fact that the State Housing Department was considering the development, of 1-0 acres in the area forming the watershed of the Purewa Creek, between Orakei and Remuera, the city engineer. Mr. JTyler, was authorised by the City Council last night, to approach the land and Suburban Drainage Board and the Railwav Department regarding the provision of sewer drainage for the whole area, comprising about 650 acres. Mr. Tyler estimated the cost of the work at approximately £20.000, and suggested that if arrangements could be made the work should bo commenced. the report was adopted.
