NEW ZEALAND SHIPS INCREASE IN PERSONNEL A statement showing what ships belong to the Royal New Zealand Narv, as the country's naval forces became last month, is contained in a Government. review of the Dominion's war effort. New Zealarulers in naval service, within New Zealand or overseas, number more than 4000, or more than five times as many as at the outbreak of war. Almost .'sooo recruits await entry into the Navy. Nearly 1000 New Zealanders serve in the Royal Navy, as distinct from the Royal New Zealand Navy, in the many spheres where it operates. Some are in command of minesweepers in the English Channel.
