PENWOMEN'S CLUB
BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION Celebrating the 16th birthday of the founding of the Penwomen's Club, a reception was held in the club rooms last night. The president, Mrs. Helen Griffiths, welcomed the members and gave a brief outline of the activities of the club. She mentioned that_during the past year the sum of £27< had been raised by the members for the Patriotic Fund. A musical programme, arranged by Mrs. G. Richards, convener of the music circle, was contributed to by Mrs. IT. Griffiths. Mrs. N. Abbott. Mrs. McGregor. Mrs. W. Osborne and Miss Shersby. A sketch was also given. A feature of the evening was the cutting of the birthday cake, which was presented by Mrs. Griffiths.
