PRISONERS' PARCELS

Some difficulty is being experienced by the inquiry olfice of the Joint Council of St. John and the New Zealand Red Cross Society which deals with parcels for prisoners of war, owing to the failure of next-of-kin to notily changes of address. Official Red Cross labels with instructions as to what may be contained in a parcel sent to a prisoner of war are issued by the in<|iiiry office, but. as many of the next-of-kin have failed to notify a change ol address, a number ol these labels have been returned through the Post Office. As no parcel for despatch to prisoners of war will be accepted by the Post Office unless ii has the official label attached, many prisoners will as a result not receive their parcels. Next-of-kin who have changed their addresses and have not notified the fact arc urged to communicate with the inquiry offico at the Bank of New Zealand Buildings, JSwanson Street.
