ASSEMBLY CONCLUDES

FOUR STUDENTS DEDICATED Four students who had completed their courses of tuition at the Baptist College were dedicated as probationary ministers at the last meeting of the Baptist Union Assembly yesterday. They were Messrs. A. J. jGibbs, R. C. Hart. A. E. Lonsdale and C. D. Rosie. Mr. W. H. Newton, secretary of the college, presided, and the students were addressed by the Rev. J. Ewen Simpson, of Dun'edin. The dedication prayer was offered by the Rev. F. A. Parry. The assembly closed with a Communion service conducted by Dr. A. J. Hodge. Shortly before the meeting ended, a gold watch was presented by the five auxiliaries to Dr. J. ,J. North, in celebration of his 70th birthday. A presentation was made also to Mrs. North.
