REMITTANCES TO TROOPS
[BV TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION'] WELLINGTON, Tuesday Tho Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, said to-day that, relatives and friends of members of the New Zealand armed forces serving overseas who wish to remit money to them for Christmas would greatly assist the respective departments of the Army, Navy and Air Force by forwarding bank receipts not Inter than Monday, November 24. This would ensure as far as possible the availability for the soldiers' use before Christmas'of money transmitted. Attention is drawn to the fact that the maximum amount of New Zealand currency that may be remitted each year is £3O.
