COCKLE BAY ROAD

The question of opening up a new road to connect Cockle Bay and Sandspit Road, in the Shelly Park subdivision of the Pakuranga riding, was discussed at a meeting of the Manukau County Council yesterday. The county engineer, Mr. R. M. Page, said the road would give access to Cockle Bay and open a through route which would be available for a bus service by way of the bay. It was decided to communicate with property owners with a view to having the road made.
