JOCKEY HURT IN FALL

HAMILTON, Tuesday An injury to the spine was received by an apprentice jockey, Frederick Meynell, aged 18, when he was thrown heavily while riding a horse at his father's stables at Te Rapa this morning. The father, Mr. R. H. Meynell, was severely bruised yesterday morning when the same horse reared and knocked him down on the Te Rapa racecourse. Frederick Meynell was admitted to the Waikato Hospital.
