SNOOKER TOURNAMENT
Open Championship.—The quarter-finals of the open snooker championship were commenced at Messrs. Barton and McGili's Ilall last evening, the results being as follows; —G. Dennis beat M. Cochiel, 55—15, 52 —40; E. Lamb beat J. Black, 67—34, «l--39. The games for to-night are; —W. Thompson v. B. Bedwell, seven o'clock; W. Whyle v. A. Cates, eight o'clock.
