BY-ELECTION RESULT
(Reed. 9.15 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 29 It is annou need that Mr. A. Colgate (Conservative) was yesterday elected to Parliament as member for Wrekin (Shropshire) at a by-election caused by the death of Colonel J. BaldwinWebb, who perished aboard the City of Benares last September. At the general election in 1935 the voting was as follows:—J. BaldwinWebb (Conservative), 20,665, G. 1Garratt (Labour), 15,040.
