BOOMING IN NEW YORK (Reed. 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, Sept. 29 The Wall Street Journal says that sellers of luxury goods are doing a fabulous business. The sale of the most costly furs, finest diamonds, vintage champagne, silk cravats and other expensive goods is booming across retail counters at a rate not seen since 1929.
