ARCHDEACON'S ADDRESS [BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Tuesday A meeting of the Wellington Amalgamated Society of Painters and Decorators' Industrial Union of Workers, which was addressed last night at its own request on the subject of "The State and the Doctors" by the Venerable Archdeacon Bullock, was not open to the press. This, according to advice given yesterday, was decided last week by the union executive. .Recently Archdeacon Mullock delivered a sermon in which he dealt with the Social Security Amendment Mill involving tree medical practitioner service. The union secretary wrote to him stating that members of his union had read with astonishment an account of his sermon. That Archdeacon Bullock liad very definite views on the subject there was no doubt, and nothing would give members of his union greater pleasure than to hear them expressed by Archdeacon Mullock in person. He asked him to address a meeting of the union 011 "The State and the Doctors." It is understood that Archdeacon Mullock was given a courteous and reasonable hearing, and that he answered a number of questions and was accorded a vote of thanks.
