GOOD BILLIARDS BREAK
Playing in the first semi-final of the open billiards tournament at Messrs. Barton and McGill's Hall last evening H. D. Brinsden, the well-known Auckland sportsman, made a break of 102 unfinished in defeating A. Crossan by 500 points to 290. Brinsden's best breaks prior (o his century were 30, M, 30 and 37, while Crossan's best efforts were 30, 31 and '2O. The second semi-final will be played to-morrow night between Brinsden and W. Thompson and the winner will meet R. Carrick in the final next week.
