THE BLACKOUT
Sir,'—'Nobody here I'm sure wishes to have material proof of whether or not sea-raiders would be attracted to Auckland by the sky glow, but the glow caused by Neon lighting was quite noticeable well out past the islands in the Gulf.
Even allowing for the probability that the shortage of coal and electricity is the result of bad management, perhaps it would be better if we stopped our petty grumbling and just made the best of the slight inconveniences caused by the blackout. The practice we are getting may be very useful later on. Is.H.
