STEEL AND ARMAMENTS
Sir, —Mr. Eraser talks of seeing that New Zealand soldiers are supplied with enough armaments and protection. Does he, and do other people, think of the thousands of tons of steel which he has got from Britain and buried? That steel would have made a lot of armaments and protection, and there are people in Britain who would risk their lives and work long hours to make it. Mr. Eraser talks and New Zealanders knock off work to go to races. R.L.B.
