17-YEAR-OLD THEFT
ADMISSION BY BUTCHER A theft corn mil ted more than 1/ vears ago was admitted in the Police Court yesterdav before Mr. I'. K. Hunt, S.M., by Kdwin Albert Leonard, butcher, aged -38, who was charged with stealing a suit and other articles of clothing valued at £l3 is Bd, the property of a city firm, on February 4 1924. Accused also admitted a charge of stealing a bicycle valued at £2 10s on April 18. Accused was committed to the Supreme Court at Wellington for sentence on both charges. On a further charge of entering a house by dav in Kilbirnic, Wellington, and stealing goods and money valued at £lO9 7s Id on January 25 he was remanded to appear at Wellington next Tuesday.
