Charged with stealing a haversack containing equipment valued at £'2o, the property of the New Zealand Army Department, and clothing, tools and a ruu of a total value ot t'2'2 .'is, Raymond Louis 'i'aylor, labourer, aged 50, appeared lor .sentence before .Mr. L'\ K. Hunt, S.M.. in the Police Court yesterdav. \ccused was placed on probation for two years on the first charge, and ordered to take out a prohibition order and make restitution of JL'I l.'ls. He was convicted and discharged on the other charges.
