BANKRUPTCY CHARGES
TERM OF PROBATION "These are very had breaches," pair] .Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday, when Cecil James Ropers, agent and soldier, aged 29 (Mr. t'ren), ap|>cnred for sentence on two charges under the Bankruptcy Act. "He had his pockets full of judgment summonses and judgment orders," added the magistrate. "He had 110 money in the hank, and he bought'two motor-cars and gave valueless cheques in each case. "In the ordinary way he would be sentenced to two or three months' imprisonment, but as he has enlisted 1 will take another view. He will he admitted to probation for two years, with the provision that he enters no business in that period except with permission of the probation officer." Accused was convicted and discharged on the second charge.
