LEAGUE REFEREES
The weekly meeting of (lie Auckland Rugby League Referees' Association was held (in Monday, when Mr. fi. McCowatt, in tendering. on behalf of members, best wishes and a safe return to Serireant X. I). Mclver. presented the latter with an inscribed notecase' as an expression of esteem. Mr. CI. drey Campbell, chairman of the League, and Mr. W. F. Clarke, secretary of the junior control board, added similar sentiments on behalf of their respective organisations. Mr. Mclver suitahly replied, and an informal supper discussion was thoroughly enjoyed by tho 50 members present.
