The Otahuhu Ladies' Golf C'luh held an open day on Monday, (he following being the results:—Gross score: Mrs. McC'rone (Maungakiekie), 80. Senior medal: Mrs. Cassels-Brown (Maungakiekie), !)0, 10 —71; Mrs. McCrone, so, lo—7o. Intermediate medal: Miss A. Cave (Titirangi), IK), 21 —(lit; Miss Jaffrey (Maungakiekie), 05, 2.'i —72. Junior medal: Miss Wills, 110, ISO—7-1; Mrs. Mason (Akarana), IC>l, 28—76. Canadian .foursomes, Stableford: Misses Cave, 27 points; Mrs. McC'rone and Mrs. Cassels-Brown, 21. Putting competition: .Miss K. McCalluin, Orakei. —Following were the hest scores returned in the qualifying round for the Hardman Cup:—Seniors: Mrs. M. White. HI, 1!) 75; Mrs. Leigh, 100, 21—7!). Juniors: Miss E. Clark, 1.01, 35—0!); Mrs. East, 107, 34 73; Mrs. Attwood, 08. 21 —71. C grade: Miss McLeay, 110. PLAY IN THE COUNTRY Waikare Ladies. —The qualifying round for the Walker and Hall Cup. L.G.U. Medal, Ringer, Second Eclectic and President's Trophv were played in conjunction, tho result being:—Mrs. C. A. Stevenson, 107, 33 —74; Miss Q. Gordon, 88, 12- —70; Mrs. G. Parker, 114, 30—78; Mrs. J. W. Keith, 111, 32 —70; Mrs. C. Jackson, 112, 20—83; Mrs. D. McCarthy. IK), 30 —84; Miss E. Keith, 111. 27—84; Mrs. J. Foote. 110, 32—84 ■ Miss B. Sanders, 11H, 30—88; Mrs. L. Corbelt. 113, 21—02; Miss Adamson. 128, 30—02; Miss S. Mexted, 130, 30 —04. Wharigaroi Ladies. —A four-ball best-ball match was played tho scores being:—Miss Abbott and Miss Macleod, 3 up; Mrs. Lloyd and Mrs. Burns. 2 down; Mrs. Morgan and Miss Ryder, 4 down. Points secured in the monthly' aggregate points trophy competition were: Miss Abbott and Miss Macleod. 3; Mrs. Lloyd and Mrs. Burns, 2; Mrs. Morgan and Miss Ryder, 1. Kaikohe Club. —The Bay of Islands handicap tournament was played on the Kaikoho links on Monday and attracted over 50 players from local and neighbouring clubs. At the conclusion of the day's play tho Kaikohe president, Mr. A. J. Edwards, congratulated the successful contestants and presented the trophies. The winners of the events were:— Medal match: F. R. Foster (Kaikohe), 88. 15 —73; R. Thomas (Okaihau), 02, 10—<3; Foster winning on the count back. Stableford: B. R. Hen ton (Kaikohe), 31. Thirty-six holes medal match: N. Atkins (Kaikohe), 75, 70—151. Best gross score: R< D. Johnston (Kawakawa), 01, 81—175; W. P. Hollings (Kaikohe), 01, 81 —175. A toss decided Johnston as tho winner. Teams' match: N. Atkins, P. D. Lane, D. R. Dennon, T. Johnson (Kaikohe), 313. Mount View. —The. first open tournament held by tho club was highly successful. Nearly 10 competitors were entered from the Rotorua, Mamakn, Ngongotaha, Hastings and Mount View clubs. All three events were played on handicap. A 30 holes medal for the Mount View Cup was won by J). J. C. Mahoney, of Mount View. 70, 73 S. Ncnmo, also home club members, tied for second place with 110 net, Balm taking second place on a count-back. The morning Stableford was also won by Mahoney, with 35 points, Neame being runner-up with 33. Balm won tho afternoon bogey, all square, after a count-back with K. Kusabs (Rotorua). Rotorua.—Tho best, cards returned in a bogo.v handicap wore:—A. Barber, 3 down; W. W. Wilkie, J. Dillon, 2 down.
