VEGETABLES STOLEN
A charge of stealing a bag of carrots valued at 2s (id from a Chinese was admitted by Percy Mavall. labourer, aged 59, in the Police Court before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., yesterday. Detec-tive-Sergeant Nalder said the carrots were found buried in a garden. Accused was sentenced to 14 days' imprisonment.
