THEFT OF CHOCOLATES
(0.C.) KAITAIA, Monday Appearing before justices in the Kaitaia Police Court to-day Peter Snowdon, labourer, aged 19, pleaded guilty to stealing chocolates valued at 6s from the shop of Mrs. Dean. The police stated that accused entered < r m adjoining picture theatre and broke a slide from which tickets were sold, this enabling him to reach the chocolates without entering Mrs. Dean's shop. Accused, who had a previous conviction for theft, was sentenced to seven days' imprisonment.
