KILLING CHAIN TO RESUME

BELFAST MEAT WORKS [BY TET.KGRAPK —PRESS association] CB'RISTCHURCH, Monday Work will be resumed to-morrow" morning on the killing chain at the Belfast meat works of Thomas Borthwiek and Sons, Limited, Mr. It. T. Bailey, officer in charge of the Labour Department, reported to-night after the branch workers had held a meeting at the Trades Hall. A request to all the men to report for duty was made by Mr. Bailey. The meeting of workers decided to accept the! company's offer to start the chain. That: offer was rejected by the branch executive on Saturday, but on its being renewed by the company today it formed the basis of discussion at the meeting. The chain, which will begin work to-morrow, will include the two men originally selected by the company. A promise was given to both the company and the workers by Mr. Bailey that the appointment of a tribunal to decide the issues in dispute would be made without delay by the Minister of Labour, the lion.
