CHANGES IN COLOUR (0.C.) WELLINGTON, Thursday As the war has had the effect of altering the postal rates charged on letters sent overseas to foreign countries from New Zealand, it has become necessary to change the colours of certain stamps, and this will be donei" July. There will then he issued a King George penny stamp printed in green, instead of in red as at present. For the present, stamp-vending machines will still supply green penny stamps, but as soon as the stocks are exhausted the colour of the ha J" penny stamp will be changed to a tig" brown, so the re will not he two green stamps of different values in '> so _ the same time. Subsequent will be the printing of red pe.'piy-ha " penny stamps and of blue thnJep# l ) stamps. It is anticipated that, by all the over-printed stamps w:ill he usup.
