MOTOR-CARS COLLIDE
THREE PERSONS INJURED Three people were injured when a collision occurred between two motorears at the top of the Bombay deviation yesterday afternoon. Mr. Kdward Percy Wool field, of Waimana. Hav of Plenty, suffered concussion and head injuries, and his son, Mr. Robert Percy Wool field, aged 24. who was driving one of the cars, received cuts and abrasions to the head. .Mrs, Woolfield escaped unhurt. The driver of the other car, Mr. Charles Vivian Porleous, aged 57, of 21 Meola Road, Point Chevalier, suffered injuries to the head and right band. Mr. and Mrs. Woolfield and their son were on their way to a wedding in Auckland and Mr. Porteous was travelling toward Pukekohe. the accident occurring at the intersection of the Pukekoho-Bonibay and Great South Roads. Mr. Porteous' ear turned over several times and stopped in a paddock. Mr, Wool field's ear also overturned. Both vehicles were extensively damaged. Dr. 11. S. Douglas, of Pukekohe, was summoned, and a St. John ambulance took Mr. Woolfield, sen., and Mr. Porteous to the Auckland Hospital. Mr. Woolfield was admitted, but Mr. Porteous was discharged after treatment.
