WELLINGTON, Tuesday The semi-finals and finals of the tennis events in connection with the New Zealand University tournament were postponed until to-morrow, owing to bad weather. All the oilier events have been completed. At the conclusion of the swimming events Otago was leading for the New Zealand University Tournament Shield with 3(1 points. The other colleges were placed as follows: —Auckland, 'i; Canterbury, li; Victoria, TVi. OTAGO'S SWIMMING SHIELD RECORD FOR AUCKLAND LADY Filling first place i'n seven of the nine events. Ota go was an easy winner at the swimminsr carnival held at Thorndon Baths last night. Otago also had three second placing?. Auckland won two events anil had two seconds. Canterbury took two seconds. Points for ilie swimming shield were: Ota>ro, 37; Auckland, 7; Canterbury, 3. The night was bitterly cold and conditions were unpleasant for swimmers. Miss M. P.T-a-lich, Auckland, made a New Zealand University record for the 100 yards women's breaststroke, which she covered in lm 32 l-ss, four-fifths of a second better than the previous record.
