Smith, Sparkling Pointer won the Introductory Handicap from end to end. He drew the outside of the firsl row, and, Koing away nicely, was never headed, scoring comfortably by hall a length. Parrish Queen, Guide Peler, Forward iiiiißen and Rama Direct attended the leader foi a mile, when Rama Direct ran into second, which she held to the end. Six lengths awav was Parrish Queen, followed by Ka 11 ula, Alter holding a good lead for seven furlongs In the Karapiro Handicap Flash B.ve broke badly, Dolores Silk then going lo the front from Para Avis and Wiri Bingen and winning easily. Rara Avis broke when challenging Dolores isilk, but managed to keep second. Five lengths away was Flash Bye. Patiently driven by W. Gee, Kcwpie's Queen came home solidly to win the Autumn Handicap from Musketeer, who lost a good deal of ground at the start. Moana Tama look the lead early from Swifl Lad.V. and the race was a procession for the first mile | ;u 2.21 i. when Kcwpie's Queen was going n ice I v in third position. Kuniiing along the back. Kalene, Bedford and Musketeer moved up smartly, but in the straight Kewpie s Queen took charge lo win by two lcnirlhs from Musketeer. Petite Jewel a length away third, just ahead of Bedford. The win favourite, Swifl Lady, finished weakly after having a good run, Kcwpie's Queen was assisted by the slow pace and had too much speed for her opponents in the final sprint. With a sharp dash on the outside, Maratua ran to the lead crossing the top in the Feu co art Handicap, and. after looking a winner a furlong from home, dead-heated for fir-a with Alcazar, who came home very solidly.
