H. Foot; 29. Remuera. —A four-ball best-ball bogey was played at Kemuera under perfect golfing conditions. C. Stanich and L. Clark, with a card of S up, were the winners. W. Adams and R. McKay were also 8 -up, but lost on the count-back. The next best card was that of H. Green and J. Keane, 6 up. Ptipuke.—The official opening of the winter season was held. Over 120 members and visitors attended. The president. Dr. F. Andrews. opened the links by driving the first ball. Ninety-six players took part in a mixed four-ball bogey, played over 12-holes. The best card was returned by A. Clark and Miss X. Clark. 7 up. Other cards were;—E. Kennings and Miss H. M. Lumbow, 6 up; R. Dunham and Mrs. Dunham, E. Keely and Miss F. Barber, 4 up. Visitors and members were the guests of the president and his wife at afternoon tea. The putting competition over nine holes was wo.n by G. M. Truscott. Orakei. —A bogey competition played at Orakei resulted in a win for L. East, 2 up. Other cards were:—J. Edwards, E. Stokoe, D. Chappell, E. Chappell, 3 down; R. Morgan, 4 down.

Maviukau.—Following were the best cards returned in a Stableford bogey:—B. Moore, K. Me.lntyre, 33; B. Yuill, J. Rogers, 32; T. H. Fleming 31; C. Wardell, 30. McIntyre won on the count-back.

(Kahuhu.—ln a medal handicap at Otahuhu the best score was returned by J. H. McCathie, 93, 21 —69. Other cards were:— A. R. Jones. 74, 2—72; R. Greer, 97. 24 73; F. McKenzie, 86, 13—73; J. Walker, 80, 7—73. - North Shore Ladies.—A Stableford match played by week-end' members on Saturday resulted:—Mrs. K. Gordon, 28; Miss X. Loper, 2-1; Miss D. Sharp, 24. The C grade medal event was won by Miss B. Mitchell.
