KING'S COLLEGE NEW RECORDS CREATED WHITNEY SENIOR CHAMPION The annua! athletic sports of King's Collet wore concluded on Saturday at the college grounds before a large gathering of narrnu and friends. The track was heaw i n the 880 yds junior cup race, the record of "It, 20 was improved upon by D. Ower who ran the distance 5 4-5s faster. In the junior discus throw D. A. Perham registered 115 ft 'tin, the previous best performance being 109 ft 2in. Allen created a new record 0{ 19ft o/ 2 in in the junior broad jump. The senior cup was won by J. Q-. Whitney with 17 points. P. JR. B. Herman was the runner-up with 14, and B. P. Towle was third with 13 points. D. K. Ower was the dinner of the junior cup with IS points R. E. Allen being second with 13, and S. G. Clark third with 11. The winners' of the under 1-1 */ 2 years competition were R, c. Savage and B. W. Allen, who tied with 11 points each, while F. K. Hellaby was third with 1()V 3 points. The most spectacular race of the day was tlie open 220vds handicap, iri which over 150 boys took part. The competitors were stretched' across the widtli of the field, and at the tape inches separated the first 20 boys.
