MEMORIAL PARK
LATE PRIME MINISTER A park combined with a garden of remembrance and a monument of a /symbolical character is to be tho national memorial at Bastion Point, Auckland, to the lit. Hon. M. J. Savage, who was buried there on March 31. 11)10. The Government has initiated a competition for the design of the memorial. It will he open to British subjects resident in New Zealand, and designs must bo submitted by May 31 next. The jury of award will be a member of the Cabinet, Mr. J T. Mair. Government architect, and Mr. J. W. Mawson, town planning officer.
