CONCESSIONS TO STAFF [»V T KT.KC HA PIT —PR KSS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Tuesday Tn relinquishing the office of Minister of Railways, the Hon. I). G. Sullivan said the total value of concessions to the staff iu the last five years amounted to .L'o.-oOjOOO, and the full value of concessions now iu operation was estimated at £1 .000.000 a year. "1 am pleased to mention the improvement in the financial position during the current year." added Mr. Sullivan. "For the 10 weeks ended January 4. the net revenue amounted to approximately .tl ,000,000, an increase of .£">50,000 over that of the corresponding period of the previous year. It is estimated that the not revenue for the year ending March 31, 1911, will be about £1.000.000, and it is hoped it may even exceed tlm record earnings of £1,03*2.704 in 192 G."
