SAVING SHIPPING SPACE
SCHEME IMPRACTICABLE [by telegraph—press association] WELLINGTON, Monday The New Zealand Farmers' Union recently suggested that shipping space could be saved by increasing the present limit to 7(X)lb. for wool dumps. The Hon. W. Nash, in replying, says the suggestion has already been considered by the Agricultural Department. Tlio department, he says, took up the matter with the controlling wool appraiser, the president of the Federation of Labour and tho secretary of the shipowners' allotment committee, all of whom considered the proposal impracticable*
