DECISION ON RETENTION [by telegraph press association] WELLINGTON, Monday Lower Hutt will continue to be known by that designation. The borough council held a special meeting to-night to consider a letter from the Internal Affairs Department and decided, after considering various alternatives, that, in view of the fact that the department would not agree to the name previously chosen, Hutt City, that the name Lower Hutt be retained. When the borough is officially declared a city the name .of the municipal district will be the City of Lower Hutt.
