END OF BEER STRIKE
AUSTRALIAN COALFIELDS SYDNEY, Jan. 10 The beer strike, begun on the southern coalfields by miners' unions before Christmas as a protest against increased prices, has ended. The miners claim a 90 per cent victory, hut hotelkeepers prefer to call it a satisfactory coinpromise.
