NORTH IRELAND LEADER
OPPOSITION TO REPUBLIC BELFAST, Jan. 9 The Prime Minister of Northern Ireland, .Air. .J. M. Audi 'ows, has been elected leader of the Ulster Unionist Party. He said he was satisfied from recent contacts with British Ministers that: Ulster's position, was fully recognised. Under no circumstances would they become partners in an All-Ireland republic. Mr. Andrews was appointed Prime Minister on the death of Viscount Craigavon pending his party's decision as to a leader.
